SOTA Imaging is now Clio Imaging

Published

SOTA Imaging’s hardware business — the Clio Prime and Clio Pedo X-ray sensors and the Claris i5HD intraoral camera — has a new name: Clio Imaging. The products, the team, and the Orange, California headquarters that has built dental imaging hardware since 1987 are unchanged. Only the name on the box is different.

Why the name changed

SOTA Imaging built two distinct businesses under one name: precision imaging hardware, and a cloud software platform called SOTA Cloud. SOTA Cloud split off into its own independent company back in 2022. Keeping both under the SOTA Imaging name since then has created confusion about which company you were actually buying from and calling for support. So the hardware business is taking a new name — Clio Imaging — drawn from Clio, its long-trusted X-ray sensor line.

What’s staying exactly the same

  • The same team, engineering the same Clio Prime, Clio Pedo, and Claris i5HD hardware.
  • The same Orange, California headquarters, with optics heritage dating back to 1987.
  • The same made-in-USA Clio Prime and Clio Pedo sensors.
  • The same 2-year warranty on every sensor and camera.
  • The same support team, phone line, and email address you already have on file.
