Image quality
True 1920×1080 HD — not an upscaled image.
A native HD sensor paired with a distortion-free lens captures sharp, true-to-life detail chairside — the kind of image quality that helps patients understand a diagnosis and say yes to treatment.

Pedal to the metal
Space-grade aluminum, inside and out.
Claris i5HD is machined from anodized aluminum — the same material used in premium smartphones — for a body that's durable under daily use and light enough to hold comfortably through a full day of exams.
Maximum control
Built for one-handed control.
A full-width, ambidextrous slide-focus and a large capture button sit right where your thumb already is — so you can adjust focus and capture without ever repositioning your grip.

FAQ
Common questions about Claris i5HD
What resolution does the Claris i5HD camera capture?
Claris i5HD uses a native 1920×1080 HD imaging sensor — not an upscaled lower-resolution image — for sharp detail with far less pixelation than cameras that just resize to "HD." It also outputs 640×480 for backward compatibility with older software.
Does the Claris i5HD need special drivers or software?
No. Claris i5HD uses the standard UVC (USB Video Class) driver built into Windows, so it works as a turnkey camera with almost any dental imaging software and major practice-management programs, including Apteryx, Dentrix, Dexis, Eaglesoft, and EasyDental.
What is the Claris i5HD's focus range?
Claris i5HD focuses from 2mm out to 200mm and beyond (infinity), so you can capture extreme close-up detail and full-arch shots with the same camera, adjusting focus single-handedly with the ambidextrous slide-focus.
Is the Claris i5HD camera durable?
Yes. Its body is machined from space-grade anodized aluminum — the same material used in premium smartphones — for extreme durability with a lightweight feel in hand. It's backed by a 2-year warranty.
